Five of the Best Muslim Matrimony Sites
The Muslim faith, with its strong traditions of marriage and family values, places high importance on finding a compatible wife or husband, in terms of education, background and life goals.
Traditionally a Muslim person seeking marriage would call on the help of friends and family members to recommend potential suitors.
Nowadays, the Internet is a modern and accepted way for many young Muslims to meet each other. For some, this approach is felt to be less stressful since it allows them to be in control and to learn more about the other person before a meeting is arranged.
Many niche sites are now appearing with the specific needs of Muslims in mind, and a good number, though not all of these are owned and managed by followers of Islam. Some sites even allow family members to post a profile for a relative and to help with the matchmaking process. Here are a few we’ve come across.
- Muslima.com, 433,000+ users, 55% women / 45% men
- Qiran.com, 143,000+ users, 66% women / 34% men
- MuslimMatch.com, 7,000 members, 40% women / 60% men
- MuslimFriends.com, 6,000 users, 20% women / 80% men
- IslamicFaces.com, 2,000 members

What’s the difference between Muslim marriage sites and everyday matchmaking sites? Popular sites such as Match.com or eHarmony.com are aimed to fulfill the needs of a very wide variety of members and as such they offer an online community for meeting and dating people of all races, religions and backgrounds and for all relationship types.
If you are only seeking a relationship with another of the same faith, it is likely that you would be more suited to a matrimonial service – for the simple reason that the vast majority of members you will meet there will be Muslim (and most are seeking a partner of that faith).
Some sites, such as Qiran.com, MuslimMatch.com and IslamicFaces.com are designed more intentionally for the needs of their members – detailed partner searches link cultural and religious values for example. Qiran.com in particular, is aimed at those seeking marriage rather than those looking for friendship or casual dating.
There are several others to choose from, all of which offer a free trial or free guest membership. This means you can look around at no cost before deciding to pay.
Muslima.com
Online since 2002, this website is part of the Cupid Media group, an established matchmaking company. As such you can be sure of a safe reliable service, backed by a reputable business.
They recently merged with the site “MuslimMatrimonials” and the pooling of all members into one larger database, can only benefit all those who use the site. Muslima is one of the biggest sites of its kind.
The word Muslima or Muslimah means Muslim woman. They have thousands of members from all over the world, and almost every country is well represented. Free basic membership is available which gives you a chance to see what the site has to offer. Completing the registration is straightforward and takes just a few moments. Once complete, you can browse photo galleries and express interest in other members. You can also send messages to paying members.
Communicating with another free member requires upgrading your membership. Upgrading to either Gold or Platinum is also necessary if you want to have full access to the more advanced features of the site, including full email privileges, advanced searches, and live chat.
There is moderation on the site, which means profiles must first be approved by the site’s customer support – this normally takes less than 1-day. This ensures that the quality of profiles appearing is maintained.
You will find all of the standard features that are available on other leading matchmaking sites on Muslima, including chat, email, virtual smiles, and advanced searching. The website is also available in Dutch, French and German as well as English and Arabic.
Qiran.com
Qiran.com has been matchmaking since 2004, and is a highly popular and very enjoyable site to use. Unique and individual, Qiran is specifically designed for the needs of Muslims seeking a marital partner.
Free standard membership is available, for which signup takes just a few moments. After providing some personal details, you’ll be asked to describe yourself, including your appearance, skin tone (fair, wheatish, dark), facial hair, ethnicity, religion, and family values.
Women can say if they wear Hijab. You will also need to provide a valid email address which will be used to verify your account. Profiles must be approved, and this is usually done within an hour or so. The site also allows profiles to be added by friends and relatives on your behalf.
Once you complete registration, you’ll find the site is visually very attractive, is fast, and easy to navigate. Qiran contains profiles of thousands of Muslim people, from all backgrounds, and from all locations of the world, as well as a sizable minority of people from other religious backgrounds including Christian, and Hindu. Most profiles are descriptive and of very good quality, due to the moderation that is in place.
A number of ways of communicating with other members are available to choose from, including electronic cards and flowers, SMS, instant messaging, and of course email.
The advanced search tool is very powerful and is even available to free members. It allows you to specify just about everything about the person you are seeking, from who posted their profile, to skin color, native language, and religious beliefs.
MuslimMatch.com
MuslimMatch.com is a unique site that is owned and run by Muslims. They started as a mail based matchmaking service in the UK, known as Muslim Marriage Connections, and then converted to online matchmaking in 1996.
Basic membership, which is free, gives you access to the website, and allows you to search, to view profiles, and allows basic email access including sending messages to premium members. In order to view certain items such as videos, and additional photos you will need to upgrade your membership.
Signup is quite a lengthy process, and will require a bit of patience. There are questions about your personality, living arrangements, hobbies, activities, and beliefs. You can also say to which particular branch of Islam you belong, whether Sunni, Shia, Ansari, Salafist Dawah, or Sufi, and express your views on polygamy and religion.
Unfortunately, many questions can’t be skipped. On the plus side however, this means that profiles appearing on the site are of good quality, and give you a good idea about the person.
You can further customize your profile with your own wallpaper, and even add YouTube videos. Various Asian and Middle East TV channels are also available. The site contains detailed help and full contact details are provided for those who experience problems.
MuslimFriends.com
MuslimFriends.com, a site owned by the Successful Match group has been around since 2002. The free registration is quick and easy, and requires answering a few questions about your appearance, your background and beliefs, and the type of relationship you are looking for.
A specific religious caste such as Ahmadi, Sunni, Shia, Ismaeeli, or other non Muslim religion can be stated if you wish. It is possible to fill in as much or as little information as you like. Your profile can be modified or enhanced at a later date.
This site offers a basic search to free members, while the advanced search is only available if you upgrade to Gold membership. You can initiate contact with other members by sending a wink, however the free trial only gives you an opportunity to see what is available on the site.
The more advanced features such as videos, full email access, online chat and other features are only available to paying members.
While there are a sufficient number of members using the site, the profile quality is a bit disappointing, and many don’t have a picture. On the plus side, the site is quick and easy to use, with a simple, easy to follow layout. The lively forums and blogs discuss all kinds of Islamic related topics.
IslamicFaces.com
IslamicFaces.com is a small site designed with simplicity in mind. With its clear and easy to follow layout, the website is quick, easy and fun to use.
Browsing the photo gallery is possible without registering, however if you want to view profile details, or access other features, you’ll need to register as a free standard member.
During the signup process, you’ll be asked to provide some personals details, including your address, and telephone number. However it is stated that this information will be kept private and won’t be displayed to other members.
You’ll also be asked to specify caste/religious sect, marital status, followed by some information about your appearance. Finally you are requested to provide your email and password, a step that you can skip if you wish.
Once you’ve created a free profile, it’s possible to do searches, view other member profiles, and to explore what the site has to offer. As a free member, you can view profile details, including the main photo, and send an email to premium members.
If you want to contact free members, to send text messages, view videos or use instant messaging, you’ll need to upgrade from free membership to premium membership. Each membership package provides a certain quota of text/SMS messages.

In addition to matrimonial ads, it also has literally thousands of articles about Islamic marriage, Muslim weddings, etc.

Why don’t you check Waytonikah.com. They are a ISO ISO 9001:2015 Certified Muslim website for global Muslims and can help you find a suitable life partner in an Islamic way.
Muslimfriends.com should not even be in that list, Friends is haram, talking for purpose of marriage is understandable but not friends. I run ManyMuslims.com and maybe you can hopefully add that to the list.
Meravivah is good muslim matrimony website. It provide KYC approved matrimony profile and Free messaging
Dear sir my aga 43 boy yrs .me good family Indian. thank you
Looking for bride 20 yrs old USA citizen and also looking for groom for 20 yr old girl all r fm hyderabad
All these marriage sites are good. However, in my case i don’t really have much time to waste on hundreds of sites, so I used mvmTeam (www.mvmteam.com) and it’s great and free!! FYI, started with free service and was good, but I make good money and didn’t mind to go paid and result was more than amazing.
Anyway, best wishes to all.
one last thing, mvmteam is also honest and they referenced my friend to one of their competitors because they don’t serve outside USA and Canada
Please lok at my video on Islam marrage at this link . From he USA, Chicaoo, IL http://youtu.be/X_fdb8deGiI
I really don’t think these websites cater for Muslims properly. The advertisements suggest lust and finding a girl for dating purposes. Muslima and MuslimFriends seem to suggest this the most by looking at their pictures.
Thanks to Harun for the link to http://www.familylinxs.com. Its quite a different approach to the other online matrimony sites, unfortunately it does seem quite new, so there aren’t that many people on the site. I’ve got some of my family on the site as its quite easy to use for sharing. Hopefully, the marriage service will pick up as more people join.
I liked the reviews but I’ve found that all these websites are the same and ultimately my friends and I have found that the concept doesn’t really work very well. Its difficult to meet someone randomly online without any kind of acquaintance, and alot of profiles are incomplete and false. Its also very exhaustive to write profiles and reading profiles doesn;t really give much information. Finally, all these sites charge monthly membership fee’s making it expensive to use, especially when it doesn’t work.
Currently, my family and friends are trying out a relatively new website called http://www.familylinxs.com where we just socialise with family and friends, this leads to automatic recommendations for partner in marriage.
Hopefully, it will work as its pretty effortless from my end, as the site does everything for you.
